Put it on the calendar – Friday, November 4th!
Fall is in full swing and we are excited to add some new colors to the scenery of Optique of Denver!
Stop by beginning at noon for our semi-annual trunk show featuring the colors of Etnia Barcelona. This is your chance to see every amazing frame in every beautiful color! We’ll also be having drawings for discounts off each pair purchased that day. Have Flex or HSA money left to use? Prescription eyewear is the only fashionable way to use it!
We are also welcoming the colorful artwork of Anya McManis, Ed Paciaroni, and Birgit Whitelaw! From 5-9 the artists will be in the store so stop by for a glass of wine, a bite to eat, and a chance to meet the artists and mingle. Their work will be up and for sale for the month of November so if you can’t make it to the party please feel free to stop in during our regular hours to take a look!
Some words from and about the artists:
Anya has her own Graphic Design Business called Kreative Keystrokes. Though her work allows her to apply creativity, she started to experiment with handmade paper and art in 2006. Today her paintings are an attempt to capture the interplay of shape, color and texture.
“Abstract art choose me. For me without an external model, a person, a building, a landscape that was the essence of abstract art. It came from within, it was for me completely spiritual.”
“I think I loved art since I could hold a brush or pencil in my hands. My travels and also living in various countries, has inspired me to put color on canvas and let the “creative juices flow”. I like strong colors, they have something to say and also lift my spirit. I like to work with different textures all the time and putting layer over layer is what I do best. What comes out is a creation which lets you wonder, what might that be….what can I see….that is me”
